Letter from Our CEO

Dear Friends,

Since we opened our Warminster clubhouse in 2003, Gilda’s Club has provided free social and emotional support to over 1800 local men, women and children affected by cancer.

This community continues to grow and thrive, coming together in support of each other, and sharing each other’s laughter and tears. Members and volunteers alike bring their strength, hope and wisdom for others to learn from. Every day, our staff and volunteers work tirelessly to improve our community, our programs and the lives of those living with cancer.

As we enter 2011, we see the growth our community has experienced: on-site Gilda’s Club satellites at Saint Mary Medical Center and Doylestown Hospital, with a third to open shortly at Abington Memorial Hospital; an increased presence in area schools in support of teens affected by cancer; and our continued commitment to Veterans with cancer and their families.

Gilda’s Club is your community, and we welcome your feedback and ideas – and deeply appreciate your support – as we dedicate ourselves to continuing to grow Gilda’s so all who need social and emotional support as they live with cancer find their way through our Red Door. We’re committed to ensuring that there is always an open seat at a workshop or lecture; that there is always a support group available; that children and teens don’t have to feel isolated when there is cancer in their families; and, most importantly, that no one has to face cancer alone.

Warm regards,

Kelly Harris
